In this video Mary McGovern shares the initial use of WordPress portfolios for TPP students in USQ College. One point Mary addresses is the goal to not only use portfolios as a repository but also as a learning space. Encouraging reflective learning and aligning this with assessment is a great start!

In this video Chris explores a journey into the realm of AI, Machine Learning and Deep learning from a non-technical perspective including the initial direction and how it has changed over time. Some of the tools created are shared how AI, deep learning and machine learning techniques may be used in the future to enhance the students learning experience and the actual teaching experience.

On this video Ben Ingram shares the Vygo pilot in Semester 2. Vygo supports peer learning and mentoring through a unique online platform.

Ben would like to talk to others at USQ interested in learning more.

I wonder what else we could use Vygo for? Staff mentoring programs?

Next meeting - June 22, 2pm in ENGAGELI (use Chrome or Edge browser) where we will explore design approaches to online collaborative learning for your Sem 2 course.

On May 19 SIG members Jon and Sarah from BELA shared some in-depth evaluations of student engagement within different courses. The data is rich and illuminating--it also poses many questions with regards to how we at USQ measure engagement and what we do in response to these measures.
