We will be administering i-Ready assessments Tuesday (Reading) and Thursday (Math) of next week. The embedded link will take you to the bell schedule for each day. Please encourage your children to do their best on each assessment so that our teachers can plan lessons to fit their needs.

Before going outside to carry out their experiment, Ms. Slattery's 7th grade science students were posed a question about how their heartrate would change from resting, to walking, to jogging, to running. Once receiving the question, they gathered research around the topic and applied the knowledge they gathered from the research to develop a hypothesis. Below you see her students testing their hypotheses by checking their heartrate after running. Once back in the classroom, students were tasked with making observations about their findings and developing a conclusion.

Ms. Lanning's 8th Grade Gateway to Technology students were asked to practice their engineering skills to create a cell phone holder out of popsicle sticks. Once they made their holders, students had to put a price on them and create a commercial advertising their product. Below you see a collection of cell phone holders for sale; stop an 8th grader in the hallway if you are in the market for one.
