Coloma Junior High
Week of January 11, 2021
Second Semester is Under Way
It is wonderful to have our students back in the building after our Winter Break! Students have happily transitioned into their 2nd Semester classes. Thank you to all of our families for continuing to monitor your child's health during this time. Our building is able to continue educating students face to face because of your diligence in keeping your family and our school family safe. Let's have a safe and productive 2nd Semester.
- Be sure to review your child's grades with them and discuss any challenges that they had last semester and next make a plan to avoid those same challenges for this semester.
The number one piece of advice that we give parents of Junior High students is to be sure that you are checking your child's grades in the Parent Portal on a regular basis. If you make a weekly habit of checking grades, you will be able to help your child stay on track as opposed to trying to dig out of a hole at the end of the marking period, which can often feel overwhelming. Make things easier for both you and your child by consistently staying on top of missing assignments. The link for the Parent Portal is available below.
