Important Calendar Dates to Note

Time Change

Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Day will end at 2:15 pm

Friday, October 20, 2023. Day will end at 1:30 pm.

Our evening family Haunted House event will take place on October 20. In order to properly set up for the festivities, school will end at 1:30 pm.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Monday, October 30 through Monday, November 13. Day will end at 1:15 pm for the 10 school days. Note that Friday, November 10 is Veteran's Day.

VEX Robotics Competition Team

Waikiki Elementary is excited to announce that we are restarting our VEX robotics team. Applications are open to all 5th graders. This program will start on October 23rd, and run every Monday and Friday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. It is free to join, however, there are EXTREMELY LIMITED spots, so if there is an overabundance of applicants, we may require a teacher recommendation and/or short essay written by students.

Soccer with Mr. Jordan

Mr. Jordan is offering an after-school soccer program during the second quarter at Waikiki Elementary. Besides general soccer skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, physical conditioning) the soccer program will involve sportsmanship, persistence, cooperation/caring, and fun!

Payment will be $140 per child for the second quarter after school soccer program. Payment will be accepted either through Venmo or Cash.

How To Make Payment: Mr Jordan's Venmo handle is @jordantks. OR you can Pay Cash Payment on the First Day of Soccer. Registration will be on a first come first serve basis for this quarter. Space is LIMITED to 25 students.

Please complete this registration form with all required information. Confirmation of your registration will be sent via email.

Food Farm Updates

Wednesday morning Food Farm Family volunteering - after morning drop off, come back to the farm and volunteer. Weeding, potting, trimming and more. Every Wednesday, anytime between 8am-10am. Please bring your own gloves, wear dirt friendly attire and bring water. Please sign in at the office and walk back to the food farm. English Language Learning Parents - Every month, third Wednesday come and garden with us, socialize and make our special garden bountiful! Third Wednesday of each month at 8am-9am. Please bring your own gloves, wear dirt friendly attire and bring water. Please sign in at the office and walk back to the food farm. Family Saturday Food Farm Work Day - Every month, third Saturday come with your 'Ohana and have fun working at the food farm. 8:30am - 10:30am.
