A Message from the Principal

Greetings Parkway Families!


I want to thank each and every one of you for helping us with our peanut butter drive. We raised over 1,000 pounds of peanut butter over the past month. That is amazing and it is going to help so many families in our community! I love how excited our kiddos were about helping others!


We don't have much on the calendar this week. Here are a couple of important dates you will not want to miss:


  • October 5: Parkway Spirit Night at Newk's Eatery (See flyer below)
  • October 6: Spirit Shirt forms due

Mask Update

The mask status is YELLOW LEVEL for next week (Updated 10/1/21): MASKS are OPTIONAL for the week of October 4-8, 2021. Bryant Public Schools has moved to a new method of determining whether students, employees, and visitors will be required to wear a face covering in district buildings and on school buses using data from Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI). ACHI’s current status for residents in the Bryant School District is yellow. According to the new policy, masks will be optional. For more details, click here. The district’s mask status will be updated on Friday and take effect the following school day.

More than a Meal Application

All of our students eat free this school year. Did you know that completing a Free and Reduced meal application provides more than meals?


Families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals receive extra benefits including:

  • Access to ACT testing (up to 4 times) at no cost to the family;

  • Access to discounted rates for internet services and other supports;

  • Discount fees on applying to college;

  • Used to qualify families for many pandemic benefits (P-EBT).


Plus, you are helping our school district by providing funds for interventionists to help struggling learners, our pre-K program, a district social worker, school security officers, and additional equipment and supplies. These funds are based on the percentage of students who qualify for free/reduced lunches. In order for our district to continue to receive this additional funding, we need you to PLEASE submit your free/reduced lunch application by October 10.
