Recently, we honored and recognized Rio Hondo’s very finest students. Our Academic Awards Ceremony was a celebration of all their efforts and achievements. Of course, their accomplishments can only be attributed to their hard work and the outstanding teachers of Rio Hondo High School P-TECH.

In case you didn't know... "aside from parents, teachers are the most important factor in the success of every child". Folks, you all have that power, and even though it might seem like a daunting task, the investment that you make will impact generations. Please digest that for a minute. What you do in your classrooms will not only change a life but generations to follow. Please do not take teaching lightly and trust that the investments you make will pay dividends. Our future depends on you and on that note, thanks for all that you do.

This past Saturday, Milla Bocanegra, Sara Benavides, Eleazar Vasquez, Emma Pezeshki, Karina Zuniga, Serena Quinones, and Brandon Gonzalez... graduated from Texas Southmost College with an Associates degree.
