Mill Valley Weekly
Thursday, September 26th
Hello Mill Valley Families,
We had a great time getting to know all of our new students over lunch on Wednesday. It's so fun to hear about their previous schools and what they are loving about Mill Valley. We discovered that we have many common interests and can't wait to learn more about each other.
Thanks to everyone who shared their feedback on our Welcome Back to School Night. Many of you found the checklists helpful and felt the event was very well organized. We value your input and will take your comments into consideration when planning next year's event.

Attendance Matters
Although most of the research available targets students that are missing 10% of the school year, as Ralph Smith, Executive Vice President of the Annie E. Casey Foundation states, "The reality is an absence is an absence, excused or not, and that child is not in that classroom benefiting from the instruction on that day.”

SPANISH CLUB STARTS OCTOBER 14th -Don’t miss out!
Studies show that children learn another language easiest when it is practical in their everyday lives or is a topic that’s fun and interesting. This year’s 16-week class Vamos a comer y Vamos con los animales has both! Your child will learn how to order at a restaurant and set the table--all in Spanish! Students will also learn animal related Spanish while “visiting” a pet store, a farm, the zoo, and even the rainforest! – Futura’s interactive, conversational approach will get students speaking “REAL WORLD” Spanish before you know it!
¡Vámonos! Limited space remains on the roster! Register: https://futuraadventures.com/wisconsin-region/
