Week of January 23-27
On the afternoon of Tuesday, January 24th we will welcome members of the ELD team from central office. They will be coming into classrooms to see our work related to Emergent Multilingual Learners. There is no need to change instruction in any way during this time.
Friday, January 27th is a telework optional day for MCEA members to complete their grades. Para-educators have professional development either at Meadow Hall and/or through MCPS offered courses.
We have scheduled two assemblies for the start of Quarter 3.
Thursday, February 2nd we will have our winter concert. We will meet in the APR to hear our instrumental musicians and chorus.
Grades K-3 will meet from 2-2:30pm
Grades 4-5 will meet from 2:40-3:10pm
Monday, February 6th we will host "Growth Celebrations". We will meet in the APR to celebrate the growth of our students related to both academics and high-5 expectations.

Report Cards
Report grades are due Friday, January 27 by 3:50. Teachers will need to complete all of the steps to finalize. The link below provides all the information needed to complete the Report Card process. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns and don’t forget to email your Grading and Reporting person when you are done. This is a change from last marking period. Lorena and I will be splitting teams. Please look at page 1 of this document for specific instructions on who to contact. 😊

Current Day Antisemitism
In observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 23, 2023, the Anti-Defamation League is partnering with MCPS to provide professional learning to any staff member on understanding and responding to antisemitism in contemporary time. Participants will receive 1 credit hour for their attendance.

PTA News
Our Meadow Hall PTA is excited to once again host an Ice Skating Party on Wednesday, January 25th from 4:30-6:15 pm at the indoor Rockville Ice Arena.
Flyers with all the details went in your mailboxes last night. For those of you with students, if you could help to share this information through ClassDojo as well we would appreciate it.
Discounted tickets for $13 are available online through Friday, January 20th. Register at https://form.jotform.com/223537812376157. Ticket price includes skate rental, and only those who wish to ice skate need to purchase a ticket. Bystanders are welcome to sit on the bleachers and cheer on our skaters. Push skate trainers will be available for those learning to skate.
Tickets at the door are $15. We will accept cash, check or PayPal.
Scholarships will be available on a limited basis. Please consider donating to this fund when registering so that all our students can participate. Donations are tax deductible.
An on-site restaurant is available for food, drinks, and snacks. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to our PTA. View the menu here: www.rockville-village-grille.com/.
