Parent-Teacher Conferences
4th and 5th Grade: In order to meet with 4th and 5th grade teacher teams, teachers will coordinate those conference opportunities with families of students with noted concerns. Other families will be welcome to come visit the classroom and teachers during our open time frames from 1:15-1:45 and 6:00-7:00. Feel free to reach out if you have questions or would like to ensure you have a meeting with your child's teacher and haven't yet set that up. More details will be provided from the grade level teachers.
Holiday Class Parties
Due to maintaining social distancing opportunities, we aren't able to have parents attend all class parties; however, we don't want for families to miss out on fun memories. As a compromise, we are asking families to sign up for 1 (one) party for the year, per student. This will allow everyone to attend at least once and yet limit the number of extra outside adults in the building/classroom at one time. This will be limited to just parents/step-parents. Extended family such as grandparents and such will not be able to attend unless of course they are the guardian. All parties are from 8:15-9:15am. Please take a moment to sign up for the party that you would like to plan on attending this school year.
While we understand it can be difficult to coordinate schedules, the school appreciates all efforts made for families to choose the same holiday party. This applies to our split families as well. We understand there may be circumstances that make this challenging but appreciate your efforts to coordinate if possible. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the building principal.
**Please note: if at any time prior to the scheduled parties we move to the red risk level, parents will not be able to attend parties. We will continue to keep you updated should this need to take place.
General Guidelines:
- Only those signed up for a party will be allowed to attend.
- Hand sanitizer will be available in each classroom.
- Parties will take place first thing in the morning from 8:15-9:15am. Guests will not be allowed to go to classrooms until 8:15.
- Each classroom will have a sign up to send in items for the party.
Costumes for Halloween:
- Students should wear costumes to school.
- Weapons are not permitted.
- Costumes should not use face paint, students who arrive at school with face paint will be asked to wash it off.
- Halloween masks are acceptable (unless it becomes a distraction).
Looking for...
We are in search of turkey quill feathers. These will be used for a writing activity during our Early American Day event. If you are able to donate, please send contact Mrs. Bishop at tbishop@blairoaks.org or 634-2808.

School Pictures and Retakes
If you didn't yet order but would like to, you will need to use the code on the Packet Information Sheet that was inside the Wagner envelope sent home earlier this week. Each student has a unique code.
If your child missed the original picture day or you weren't pleased with their original picture, you can plan on having them participate in Picture Retake Day. If doing so, please return the picture packet with your child to school that day (or before). Retakes are scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, October 26th.
