Get to know us!
Welcome! We are thrilled to have you as part of our school family! Our mission, in partnership with parents/guardians and the community, is to ensure that all students become productive citizens of a global society and confident lifelong learners.
The formative years of elementary school go by quickly and we are happy to be a part of your child's journey. Go Navigators!

The Basics
- We opened our doors in January 1998 to an excited Dutch Fork community. Prior to 1998 students were split between Dutch Fork Elementary (K-2) and Irmo Elementary (3-5).
Our school name was chosen because of the proximity to the Broad River. In addition, there were over 20 natural springs between the river and our campus - including one that ran between campus and the neighboring community of Belfair.
With the school opening, the song “River Springs Setting Course for the Future” was written by Dr. Charles Renick. Staff members submitted words or phrases to capture the school culture.
- In 2009 the school logo was changed from children with a ship wheel to our current mascot - an alligator named "Navigator" Print a coloring sheet!
A 4K program was added in 2013.
- Our colors are green and blue.
- Our mottos are Grow and learn each day; Working together to build the future.
