Welcome to our new Rachel Carson students and families! All current parents and guardians of CPMS students are automatically members of the PTC.

Our events, programs, school support, and enthusiasm make up this vibrant volunteer community and are indeed, POWERED BY YOU.

1. Thanks to our CPMS community for your wonderful support of our 5K! We exceeded our goal of $30,000! Tune in our our October PTC meeting to hear the Treasurer's report to hear our final numbers.

2. Our second Community PTC meeting of the year is this week on Tuesday, October 19th. Watch for the Zoom link the night of and tune in to hear more about the PTC's plans for the school year to support our students and teachers.

Thanks to all of you who contributed toward this successful fundraising event! We are still totaling up our contributions and our Treasurer will share the final numbers at our PTC meeting this week on Tuesday, October 19th at 6:30pm.

Early next week we will announce the winners of the Advisory Class Challenge at each grade level. Winning classes will get a donut party - YUM!

At the Timeberwolves Night event we were able to fill several committee leads. Thanks to those of you who signed up on the clipboard!

We have two some additional vacancies available:

• PTC Vice President: Participate in PTC board meetings and support the events and fundraisers of the PTC.
• PACK store: Work with school admins to purchase and organize this positive behavior incentive program
• 8th Grade Send-Off Coordinator: Help organize the 8th grade send-off in June!
  
• Student Store: Manage the supplies at the student store & help train volunteers
