AVA Family Update

Good morning AVA Students and Families,
I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving Break.
The end of the trimester is coming shortly, and students should ensure they are where they want to be, especially for their one trimester courses. This break, as well as all of our breaks, allows for students to play catch-up. I don't monitor my email all-day, every-day on weekends and holidays, but I do check fairly frequently. Students should email me if they need something unlocked. I hope our students take advantage of the unique opportunity to catch up that the virtual environment allows for.

Second Notice - Guidance Updates
Afterschool Clubs and Activites
All AVA students are welcome to join any AHS afterschool clubs and activities! Please find the list HERE. Activities typically run Mon-Thurs., 2pm-3pm on the AHS campus. If you email Ms Nellie, you can also set up an appointment so that I can meet you at the main entrance and help you find your club location. All AVA students are strongly encouraged to participate! Sophomores and juniors: this is a great way to start building extracurricular activities for your resume and applications to jobs and college.
Student Jobs
Looking for a job? Starting at age 14, the School-to-Career organization may have a job for you! Check out the student job board HERE. You can also reach out to the Career Specialist, Ms. Louryn Hoff (lhoff@attleboroschools.com) for anything career-related.
NCAA Registration
Once again, students and families who are interested in participating in collegiate sports through the NCAA. Please register online at the Eligibility Center website (linked HERE) sooner than later. Although you may register even after high school graduation, we strongly recommend doing so while still enrolled in high school to ensure a smoother transfer of school records and information. AVA's CEEB code for NCAA registration is: 220067.
