From the Desk of the Principal
It has been another amazing year for our Lisbon Community! Our students have grown tremendously as readers, writers, mathematicians, historians, and scientists! Ms. Wright and I enjoy this time of year when teachers invite us to celebrate the learning that has happened all year with special presentations. We know that you join us in celebrating your child's success this school year. We are very proud of their accomplishments in all of these areas. Thank you all for your partnership in the education of our students. We have enjoyed instructing your children and watching them grow in knowledge and confidence. We are very proud of all our many accomplishments and achievements both individually and as a community.
For those who are moving to different schools next year, we wish you well in the future.
We look forward to seeing everyone who is returning to LES on September 3, 2019.
Have a fantastic summer!
Mrs. Anoff, Principal
Family File Reminders
Remember, in August you will get a reminder to update your Family File! This is crucial so your child’s assigned class shows up for school year 2019-2020. We will not be able to share with you the assigned class until your file is updated. This cannot happen until the first week of August when the system has been set for the new school year. Please understand that every parent must update their Family File for their children even if items remain the same.
Please Note: Thursday, August 29th- Classroom assignments will be posted in family file if you have updated all your information!

From the PTA
To our ROARsome LES parents,
What an amazing year we've had! The PTA would like to thank you for all of your support this year. Whether it was your time, donations, or simply attending a PTA event, it did not go unnoticed. As a quick recap, our amazing community allowed us to:
- support our students with a donation of $5,000 for school resources such as DreamBox math learning;
- fund Cultural Arts activities for our students;
- host a Community Night to assemble Thanksgiving baskets for a local food pantry.
- support a local coat drive, Phelps Luck ES, Homewood School and Cradlerock ES through various donations and drives;
- go green by cutting down on paper flyers, recycling/repurposing school supplies, and eliminating styrofoam and plastic utensils;
- provide a variety of breakfasts, lunches and dinners for our amazing teachers during conferences, for back to school, and for teacher appreciation week;
- reimburse more than $6,000 to teachers for classroom, grade and related arts purchases to directly benefit our students;
- host some great events – Popsicle Playdates for incoming kindergartners, Back to School Snowball Social, Fall Festival, Movie Night, Winter Bash, a snowtubing trip, Father-Daughter Dance, Bingo, STEM Night, Talent Show, Field Day snowballs;
- partner with The Grill at Lisbon, WHC Soccer, Tristar Martial Arts, Tony Locos, and others to support our events and raise funds; and
- provide support to the LES community in many other ways.
We can’t thank you enough for your support. Our community of teachers, staff, parents, and families are simply the best! Enjoy your summer, and we'll see many of you in September. To our 5th graders, we know you’ll rock middle school!
Many thanks,
Mindy Barnowski
LES PTA President
