1) Spotlight: Summer Festival - Volunteers Needed
Save the Date! This year's Summer Festival will be on Saturday, June 10th from 11am-2pm. There will be fun, games, community and we will have Kool Kidz Ice Cream providing some fun treats.
This is one of the most anticipated and beloved events by students and families at OHE, but to be able to put on this exciting and fun event for the whole community, the PTA needs help!
Please sign up to volunteer! If everyone pitches in a little, this will be a super exciting and amazing event. We cannot do it without your help.
We have made small little 30 minute time slots for volunteers during the event so you can help a little, but still have a lot of time to have fun with your family. Or, you can sign up for an hour of set up or clean up before or after the event. If you would like to help a little extra, you can sign up for more than one time slot or sign up another adult in your family for a slot. Feel free to volunteer with a friend!
Book Drive:
We are also in need of book donations! Consider donating your gently used children's or young reader's books to be used as prizes at the Festival. Donation bins are located in the circle drive and in the office.
Thank you!
2) May Events and Volunteer Opportunities
Educator Appreciation Week
May 8th-12th
The Olympic Hills Elementary community is celebrating our teachers! This event could still use a few more people to sign up to bring food items to the school for our teachers and staff. We want to make this week special for them.
Move-a-Thon
May 12th - 8:15 to 10:15am
This is a fun school-wide event full of wacky fun and school spirit! This event could use a few volunteers to help cheer the kids on, mark lap cards, distribute treats, etc. Volunteers for this event need to be background checked and registered to volunteer with SPS.
Multicultural Family Potluck Dinner & Showcase
May 18th - 6 to 7:30pm - Ottertorium
Celebrate the rich diversity of our OHE community! Please bring your family’s favorite multicultural dish to share with 8-10 people. Click here to view the flier, available in English, Spanish, and Tigrinya along with the form to bring with your dishes (there will be extra forms for dishes at the event).
If you, your child, or your community are interested in performing, please complete this form by May 10th: Multicultural Showcase Performances.
