Student Password Portal
Remember that students no longer need to be sent to the library to have their passwords changed. You can do it from the comfort of your own classroom! Just in case you may have had issues with the PW Portal earlier, try the URL below. If you reset a student's password and he/she still cannot log in, check the student's 100# for desktops and laptops and gmail for Chromebooks and Chromebases. You can find student gmail accounts by going into Gradebook and clicking on Student Demographics. As always, if you need help with resetting passwords, Mrs. Frisbie and I are here.
Google Summit
It's happening again, and we are so excited about it! Lubbock ISD is playing host to another Google Summit! For those of you who don't know, Google Summit offers a plethora of cool techy tools and trainings presented by those who know what they're doing. GS is June 7-8 with a separate pre-summit workshop offered on June 6. If technology is something you want to learn more about, I highly recommend attending this year. Talk to your department administrator ASAP about enrolling in this opportunity. You won't want to miss out!
If you happen to be somewhat of an expert in technology, you can apply to present at the summit. Chosen presenters attend for free, which is always a bonus. Last year, I paired with Kori McNeal at Cavazos to present on coding in the classroom. We had a great time sharing our coding experiences with those in attendance. They're still looking for presenters, so apply today!
