Robotics
Our VEX Robotics Team is going to state! After three days of qualifier matches, Corona High School's team 9102P was ranked number one. This put us in the driver's seat for the final bracket competition. After alliance selection, our team made it to the quarter finals. Unfortunately, a robot malfunction cost us the match, but that didn't keep us from earning the Excellence Award! This award goes to the team that the panel of engineers felt was the best robot and team in the competition; it also comes with a qualification to go to the California State VEX Tournament in March. Our previous tournament win also qualified us for the State tournament. Needless to say, this is the best team that Corona High School has seen in the past five years. Congratulations and good luck to Joshua Vera, Stephanie Rocco, Victor Ceja, and Marchelo Quiroz. ANd what a great job by Mr. Johnson on coaching them!!!
On a side note, to add to how special this team is, they provided much assistance to the VEX Robotics team from Roosevelt High School that was competing for the first time and they earned a strong first-time appearance placment of 15th. We are all super proud of not only our Panthers' strong showing, but their unselfishness in helping out the competition. RAWR!!!

Panthers Gettin' Fit
To promote RAWR behaviors (see below), WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading), and overall Health and Wellness for all staff and students, we are implementing Panthers Gettin' Fit. Each Month, Panthers will focus on a different RAWR behavior. Each week, Panthers will focus on a different component of WICOR in the classroom and a different component of health. In addition to our Panthers being academically healthy, we want them to strive for optimal health in all facets of their lives. We want our Corona family and community to join us in our quest for Panthers being Fit and On Point! RAWR!
