Principal's Message
Meadow View Families,
It is that time of the year when cabin fever might be starting to set in. If you are looking for something to get you out and about, check out some of the things going at Oconomowoc High School! The boys and girls varsity basketball teams have home games to close out the month and provide some up and down action. And if basketball isn't your thing, check out the Oconomowoc Arts Center. Many former Wildcats will be a part of the Nature Hill musical - The Wizard of Oz, on February 22-24. Finally our PTO has a dinner and bingo night planned for early March. So many great ways to connect with our Oconomowoc school community!

Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences
We will be offering the opportunity for parent-teacher conferences on March 12 and March 14. These conference times differ from fall conferences. Teachers or families may request a conference. Teachers will be reaching out by email to request a conference should they feel a need to meet. A family requested conference can be scheduled on or after February 20, and virtual conferences can be set up as needed. At this point in the year, you have had frequent feedback (report card, end-of-unit progress updates, Seesaw messages, newsletters, emails, phone calls, etc) and might feel a conference is not needed. That is okay. We take that as a sign our ongoing communication about student progress is strong. Finally, please know that our teaching staff is always available throughout the year to discuss student issues. Thank you for your continued support!

Hocus Focus!
March 15, 7:00 pm - Hocus Focus: A Sensory Friendly Performance with Kevin Spencer, PhD at the OAC. This interactive learning experience is engaging, highly motivating, and provides opportunities for students to participate in meaningful activities that support learning. As an artist, educator, speaker, and researcher, he now works to create communities where everyone experiences an authentic sense of belonging and no one – for any reason – is relegated to the margins. His work focuses on using the art of magic to impact change in the lives of children and adults with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual challenges, emotional disturbance, and those who have experienced trauma.Tickets $5 each, available online, over the phone, and in person at the OAC box office. www.TheOAC.net info@TheOAC.net 262-560-3172

Parent Request to Move or Refund Credit Balances
- All credit balances can be moved over to a families food service account, this is our preferred use of credit balances but we understand sometimes this just doesn't make the most sense.
- Credit balances on student fee accounts will only be refunded if over $15.00 and all other fees are paid in full. If your family food service account is in a negative balance, funds will be moved to cover this overage prior to any refunds.
- Credit balances can be moved to sibling accounts to pay for outstanding fees.
- Credit balances cannot be moved to pay for web store items.
- Refunds will be processed within 1-2 weeks of submission.

New Process For Entering School During the Day
We’re taking some additional steps to ensure the security of our front entrance during the school day. Everyone who comes to our front entrance during school hours will be asked to do the following:
Push the buzzer to call the main office
Be prepared to identify themselves and their reason for visiting
Enter the main office once the doors have been unlocked
If you’re visiting school during the day or picking your child up early, please contact the main office before you arrive to let us know. It will speed up this new process if we know when to expect you.
Thank you for helping to keep our school safe!
Wisconsin Winter Weather Has Arrived!
The snow and cold is upon us! Recess is an important part of the day so here are a few cold weather reminders:
- If the temperature or wind chill is below zero, students will remain inside for recess.
- Please make sure your child(ren) have snow pants, boots, gloves and a hat every day. Please don't assume we will be indoors on snowy, cold days. If a student does not have snow pants or boots, they will remain on the blacktop during recess. Also, make sure all snow clothes are labeled with your child's name.
