Message From Principal Adam Mitchell
We hope that you are had a good week! Things are very busy here with our fantastic play, "You Can't Take It With You," wrapping up this weekend, winter sports seasons coming to a close over the next few weeks, our Incoming Freshmen Night happening on Monday, Feb. 26, and many other events going on at Sherwood High School. Congratulations to our students who facilitated our blood drive on Tuesday...it was the most successful school event in the Portland metro area this year!
As we move into the later half of trimester two, we highly encourage you to be actively involved in monitoring and supporting your students academic progress. Talking directly to your student about their grades and assignments, checking ParentVue, and exploring Canvas (if used in the class) are just a few of the ways you can work along side your student. If there are issues, we strongly suggest the student make the first contact with their teacher, and advocate on their own behalf. If there are still questions, contacting the teacher is always an option, and including your student in that conversation is a great way to help them build skills that will help them when they have their own job in the future.
Have a great weekend and Go Bowmen!
Mr. Mitchell

Incoming Freshmen Night
Sherwood High School would like to invite the Class of 2028 and their parents/guardians to our annual Incoming Freshman Information Night on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. This is an opportunity for students and parents to meet some of our amazing staff members, learn more about Sherwood High School, receive more information regarding Course Selection, and tour our beautiful campus. Sherwood High School has two parking lots - one directly in front of the building and another upper lot above the main campus entrance. If you park in the upper lot, please walk down to the main front entrance located closest to Haide Road. We look forward to meeting everyone and helping to start on the road to high school success!
Electronic Report Cards
Beginning in March 2024, the Sherwood School District will provide families with electronic report cards for all students, starting with the report cards for Trimester 2. As we move to this paperless option, report card delivery to all families will default to "paperless-only," and paper report cards will no longer be mailed home.
If you would prefer to receive a paper copy of your child’s report card, you can opt out of the electronic-only option in your ParentVUE account. For opt-out instructions, please visit our website at https://sherwood.k12.or.us/electronic-report-cards/ or contact your school office for assistance.
Nominate a Bowmen Game Changer
As you may have heard, the Sherwood School District is engaged in many activities to Celebrate our schools, our students, our staff, and our community. At Sherwood High School, we would love your help in recognizing our staff members who are doing amazing things for our students and families. When you have any positive and exceptional experienced or interactions with our staff, please use the button below to share those with us! We will share that information with the staff member, as well as use any submissions to help identify a staff member of the month that we will recognize at our staff meetings! Bring on those great stories, thank you!
