College & Career Fair and Financial Aid & Scholarship Session
The annual Weatherford High School College and Career Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm in gyms B and C of Weatherford High School. There are over 60 post-secondary institutions that will be in attendance to speak with WHS Juniors and Seniors. Parents are welcome to attend either session with their student. Also, new this year: Gabrielle McCormick, the founder of The Scholarship Informer will be here to present on ways to make college affordable. Gabrielle completed her entire college education for free (all the way through her doctorate degree) and now she is helping others get on the path to a debt-free education.
The tentative schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, October 23 from 1:00pm – 3:00 pm
1:00pm Senior class attends College and Career Fair booths (gyms B & C) to speak with post-secondary representatives
1:00pm Junior class attends Financial Aid and Scholarships session in the Durant

Floral Design Arrangement of the Month Club
It is now time to sign up for the Floral Design of the month Club! Each month starting in October you will receive a fresh arrangement from the High School Floral Design class.
Attached you will find an order form. If you would like to pick and choose which months you want to receive or if you want them all there is an option to do that. Payment can be tubed to me through campus mail. Thank you for supporting our program! (images are examples only)
WHS Band
Make sure to come support the Fightin’ Roo Marching Band at their second contest of the season at Burleson HS. We compete at 2:45 in prelims, and could use a big hometown crowd. Special thanks to all the volunteers that truly keep this program running smoothly. Please know all your hard work is appreciated.
Special shout out this week for two WHS Band students, Katlyn Don Carlos and Connor Bezio, who were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation! Congratulations and we are so proud of you!

Blue Belles Dance Clinic
The Weatherford High School Blue Belles would like to invite all students in grades K-8 to participate in our annual dance clinic. The clinic is taught by our fabulous Blue Belles! The girls and boys will get to show off the dance and new skills they learned for a pregame performance at Kangaroo stadium on October 25th! Register by October 1st to ensure that your participant receives a t-shirt!

Blue Belles of the Week
Public Safety Club Fundraiser
The Public Safety Club invites you to purchase one of their official club t-shirts this year! Shirts promote school pride and public safety unity. Funds are used to help students pay for competition and travel costs. We have an amazing group of students this year and I am very excited!
The deadline for orders on 10/25 and shirts are $20. The order form is attached to this email. Checks can be sent to me on the main campus, rm. K210.
