Endeavor Fieldtrip
In January, we went to the Wisconsin Historical Society Archive and the Wisconsin Historical Museum in Madison. In the archives, Endeavor students were able to conduct research on current and future projects. Then, we went to the Wisconsin Historical Museum Makerspace, or alternate learning space. This field trip has helped Endeavor students in their learning and projects.
MATC Tours
On February 12th, Mrs. Mueller took nine students to tour Madison’s and Watertown's MATC campus. Mrs. Mueller wanted to give the opportunity for juniors and seniors (and a few sophomores) to have the chance to explore different campuses.

Endeavor Leadership Team
This month we focused on regulating community spaces so students can have more structure in their day while allowing them to have time to get away from their desk. This helps build personal responsibility and accountability among the students of Endeavor. Another topic that the leadership team is trying to address is time with advisors to create a more mainstream way to set up a time to meet with them. This will help open up students to their peers for help to build community and to give the advisor a more organized way of communicating with students

Project Presentations
Brady did a project on organ transplants and focused on the shortage of organ donors. His favorite artifact (first picture) from this project was his timeline he did on the process of getting an organ transplant. Another Endeavor student, Ash did a project on vaccines and how they affect the human body. In their artifact (second picture), they focused on the Influenza, Covid-19, and Polio vaccine where they looked into how the viruses work and how they affect the body.

STUDENT BLOGS
Why I Came to Endeavor - Cam
"While I was in middle school, I went to Riverside STEM Academy. I loved the fact that I could work at my own pace but still have deadlines. This is how I found Endeavor. A school where students drive their own learning and are limited only by their creativity. STEM Academy went to 8th Grade day where students came in, and we were able to see what Endeavor was like. I found that both STEM and Endeavor were very alike. So, I signed up and got in."
Guest Speakers - Edward
"In Endeavor, we have guest speakers that come in and inform students about what their jobs are, and what they all do. One of our guest speakers was a newspaper photographer and we were able to see all of the fun adventures she had while taking the photos, and listening to the story behind each one."
Live Source Interviews - Joey
"Live source interviews are a huge part of Endeavor's project process. We use them to provide an outside perspective that we couldn’t get just by looking at articles."

Endeavor has amazing learning spaces.
Endeavor students who are Students in Good Standing can use the Multimedia Room, the Conference Room, the Kitchen, the Maker Space, the office, the library, and the Outdoor Classroom during their Personalized Learning Time. Students are encouraged to use these spaces for group projects, resources for artifacts, as a quiet space, and more!
Endeavor has many learning options.
Students in Endeavor earn credit in a variety of ways.

Endeavor students learn to monitor their own progress.
Endeavor students set weekly and daily goals every week in their Weekly Goal Setting Journal. They also complete a Pacing Guide that helps them plan their learning experiences for each month.
Endeavor students work to be a Student in Good Standing.
