Mill Valley Weekly

This week, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) released its School and District Report Cards for the state of Wisconsin and we are thrilled to share that Mill Valley has an exciting reason to celebrate and be proud. Specifically, Mill Valley scored 91.0 out of 100 on the State Report Card which means we are significantly exceeding expectations. The report card's priority areas are: achievement, growth, target group outcomes and on-track to graduation.

Highlights to share:

• MV ranked #1 in Waukesha County in School Achievement
• MV ranked #10 in Waukesha County in the Overall Accountability Score
  
• MV ranked #25 out of 970 public, non-charter, elementary schools - "Significantly Exceeds Expectations"

Additionally, we are excited to share that US News and World Report ranks Mill Valley Elementary as the #1 BEST WISCONSIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. (U.S. News analyzed 103,099 pre-K, elementary and middle schools) Click Here for full article.

With next week being a short week, we want to let you know how thankful we are for our amazing parents and guardians, incredibly dedicated and passionate teaching staff, and our caring and warmhearted support staff. Our building would not look as impeccable without our incredible custodial team and lastly, we are thankful for our kitchen staff who are so welcoming and kind to all of our students.

Mill Valley PTO's Holiday Shop will include the store (located in the Wolf Den) plus pictures with Santa Claus, family friendly crafts, hot cocoa and cookies. Holiday helpers will guide your student through the Holiday Shop to pick out and purchase gifts for family members with their pre-determined budget. Afterwards, they will visit the wrapping table where more Holiday Helpers will help them wrap/bag and label their gifts.
