No School 11/7 and 11/10

There will be no school for students tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7 or Friday, November 10.

We would like to thank all our veterans for their service. Thank you for serving our country and protecting our freedoms. Thank you for bravely doing what you're called to do so we can safely do what we're free to do. You have defended freedom and peace with courage and honor. Saturday, November 11 the nation honors you with gratitude.

Picture Retakes

Just a reminder, picture retakes are on Wednesday, November 8. If your student did not have their picture taken they should do so on Wednesday 11/8. Students can pick up a Morin's envelope at the office between now and Tuesday, 11/7. Any student looking to retake their photos will need to bring in their old ones on 11/8 and turn them in.

Term 1 Grades will be posted Monday, November 13.

Please complete this PowerSchool Parent Account Access Google Form to request an account or to request adding an additional student to an existing account. Note, you must have legal custody in order to gain access to academic records. Every effort will be made to create your account in a timely manner. You will receive an email with your account credentials and links to supporting documentation for navigating PowerSchool.

Lost and Found is being Donated

Please encourage your student to stop by the lost and found. Anything left here on Thursday, November 9 will be donated over the long weekend. This includes any lost and found items from Nature's Classroom as well.

Holiday Giving Programs

Holiday giving programs are available at Miscoe Hill.

At Thanksgiving time, the local church provides families with complete turkey dinners.

In December, the Miscoe school community offers several opportunities for families:

The Student Council provides full dinners for the holiday.

In addition, staff participate in an annual Giving Tree program, where counselors take gift suggestions for children in your family up to a $30 value.

All of the above mentioned opportunities are confidential.

Mendon Corporal & School Resource Officer to Run Boston Marathon

Mendon Turkey Trot

Register Now!! The Mendon Turkey Trot is back for the 7th year!

And new this year, we’ll have chip timing and a costume contest. You can even start a team and use it as a fundraiser!

This is a family-friendly 5k run on Thanksgiving morning. Walkers welcome too! We start and end the race at Clough Elementary and all proceeds of this race go to the Clough PTO.

Make sure to register early, the first 150 registrants get a free race t-shirt!

Lacrosse Camp

Want to learn more about lacrosse and join a fun event for free?

Join us on November 12th from 2pm to 3:30pm at the Miscoe Upper Field - No registration or equipment needed for this event.

Current players can "bring a friend" and be entered into a raffle to win $50 off registration fees for 2024.

The clinic is going to be run by the Nipmuc Boys/Girls varsity coaches and players. The players always have a great time with the varsity teams! Click on the picture for more details.

Calling All Substitute Teachers!

Not all superheroes wear capes; some substitute teach!!

Miscoe Hill Middle School is seeking substitute teachers who are interested in being part of the educational process for our students. Substitute teachers play an important role in the continuity of educational instruction for our children.

Needed on an as-needed, on call basis.

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible.

SALARY: $110 per day

QUALIFICATIONS: You must submit your application, resume, completed CORI form, and fingerprint results to be considered a candidate.
