Pleasant Run Families:
It is hard to believe that we are heading into the last week of February. We are entering an important stretch of learning and it is extremely important for our students to be here and on time. Below is a snapshot of what each grade level is currently focusing on:
Kindergarten: Ending sounds & More/Less/Equal
First Grade: Vowel Paris & Place value
Second Grade: Drama/Characters & Introduction to multiplication
Third Grade: Suffixes & Area
Fourth Grade: Cause/Effect & Fractions
I encourage you to ask your student about what they are currently focusing on, more importantly, have them show you!
Please mark your calendars for Friday, March 6th. Doughnuts w/ Dudes will take place beginning at 7:15 AM. We hope everyone can join us for a fun morning.

PTA NEWS
Joining the PTA allows you to meet some great people. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, to build rapport and discuss issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences to make the school year better for everyone.
The mission of the Pleasant Run Elementary PTA is to act in the interest of the children, to encourage understanding and cooperation between parents and teachers, and to promote programs that benefit the success of children’s learning. The Pleasant Run PTA supports education through active participation and advocacy.
Pleasant Run Elementary has a very active and supportive PTA. We sponsor many fun events throughout the school year. We also provide volunteers for many school events as well as provide support for school programs such as Super Reader, Breakfast with Santa and the annual fund raiser. Please join us for a PTA meeting to see what we’re all about.
