Congratulations to JHS Theatre Students
Congratulations to our JHS theatre students! Their District One Act Play Competition was a success! They are now heading to the Bi-District competition on March 21st.
Our students brought home several awards: Ry Fullmer won Honorable Mention All-Star Cast, Leo Chavez and Jazavia Green won All-Star Cast. In addition, Alexa Field took home the All-Star Tech Crew award as the light technician. They also won the Outstanding Technical Crew Award.
Plant the Promise
Jarrell Elementary School Students Grow Tulips
Plant the Promise is a Red Ribbon Week tradition where students plant red tulips in the fall and then the spring blooms serve as a reminder of the importance and the beauty of living a drug-free life. Additionally, it provides a chance to enjoy the outdoors, connect with nature, and see the rewards of something beautiful you’ve nurtured.
JES fifth-grade students were each presented a tulip bulb in October through the school counseling program in collaboration with our Fort Hood Adopt-A-School soldiers. Students were instructed to keep their bulbs refrigerated until planting time back at school in December. The tulip garden bloomed and produced brilliant results!
JHS Students Win at the Annual Student Athletic Trainer Olympics
Congratulations to the JHS students who did a spectacular job at the Annual Student Athletic Trainer Olympics. Our students competed against 23 surrounding schools from 4a-6a and placed second! There were several individual event medals awarded as well.
2023 Bond
A committee of 45 people, including parents, community members, students, and district employees worked together to develop the 2023 Bond proposal.
New Buses and Routes
Jarrell ISD has purchased five buses in our continued effort to better serve you. They will be ready to use on March 20th, the first day back from spring break. The new routes will alleviate bus wait times and congestion. Since the beginning of the school year, we have made significant changes in our transportation department to improve efficiency. The new buses, plus the addition of crossing guards, underscores our commitment to the safety of your children.
Families impacted by the new bus routes are being notified. In addition, if you know someone who wants to work as a crossing guard, please share this link: https://bit.ly/3mGTORF.
