Dear Parents/Guardians,

Student Government will be sponsoring a Valentine's Day Fundraiser. We will be selling pencils for $0.25 each. Students can purchase them during lunch on February 8th and 9th. Students may also pre-order by completing the attached order form. Members of Student Government will deliver pencils to classrooms for Valentine’s Day. This year, the collected money will go to Veterans, Inc., a highly rated non-profit organization whose goal is to end homeless for veterans in our state.

If you have opted-in for at-home COVID-19 testing, tests have been sent home today. Please check your child's backpack for their test kit when they arrive home. Please refer to our district email on 2/2/22 for additional information.

This week's story was The Energy Bus for kids, by Jon Gordon. This week's story focused on staying positive and overcoming challenges!

Students in Mr. Tarpey's class are learning about force though pushes and pulls.

This is just a friendly reminder to send in a snack and water for your child each day! Thank you!

Recess fun in the snow! Thank you for sending in snow gear this week for your children to play outside! Just as a reminder, anytime there is snow on the ground please send in the following items, snow pants, boots, hats, and mittens/gloves. Please LABEL all their clothing because they “wander” from their coat hooks. If students only have boots they will have to remain on the blacktop. Only unsafe conditions such as ice or temperatures below 25 degrees with a wind chill will keep us inside. Temperatures change from 9:00 a.m. to recess, so it is good to send students prepared for outdoors every day!

*Extra Clothing* Please send in an extra set of clothing and socks to leave at school. It can get messy out at recess some days and it would be great to have clothing already here!

Our custodians worked extra hard Sunday, post snow-storm, to get the building doors free of snow. As you can see it was a lot of work. Hatherly custodians are amazing!

Our new mascot, Winter, had unfortunately flown into Mrs. Franke's window. Well, our custodians got right to work digging through the deep snow to save Winter:) Charlotte Shute warmed her up and next thing we knew she was flying back home. Thank you Mr. Stafford, Mr. Tolman (Bob and Doug) - and Charlotte!
