"Extreme by Design" is a documentary about health sciences, engineering, business, and design students taking an interdisciplinary service learning course in which they apply the design thinking approach to create low-cost devices and products to address real-world healthcare and environmental health problems.

Following the documentary, there will an interdisciplinary panel comprised of faculty and staff discussing their reactions to the documentary, innovative work they are engaged in, and other interdisciplinary opportunities available at Penn. After the panel, light refreshments will be provided.

This event has been co-sponsored by Penn Health-Tech and the School of Nursing and is a part of the Penn Libraries InterProfessional Student Advisory Gatherings (#IPSAG), a networking event series geared towards students interested in clinical, health sciences research, and related careers.
