A Note from Mr. Hamilton, Principal
Greetings Central Families,
It's hard to believe a quarter of the school year is already behind us. I'm confident a firm foundation has been built these first ten weeks to support the best year yet. As we approach the winter season, please know I could not be more proud of our students, particularly the grit, resilience, and adaptability they continue to demonstrate as learners. Equally, I appreciate your ongoing support, partnership, and patience as we continue walking forward and together during challenging times.
Through CKH (Capturing Kids' Hearts), PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), and SEL (Social and Emotional Learning), positive culture is soaring at Central. Please continue joining us in making positive compete better!
As always, thank you for sharing your kiddo(s) with us.
GO ROCKETS!

Every Month is Reading Month!
Each month, we'll provide ideas and opportunities for at-home reading, as well as signal things that will be happening here at school. This partnership around literacy will grow our culture particularly in accordance to the following Essential Instructional Practices in Early Literacy:
- Practice #1: Deliberate, research-informed efforts to foster literacy motivation and engagement within and across lessons.
- Schoolwide Practice #8: A consistent family engagement strategy includes specific attention to literacy development.

A Message from the Foodservice Director
Menu Changes & Supply Chain Disruptions
I hear you and I share your frustrations regarding menu changes. Unfortunately, the changes are not due to my own decision, but rather an inability to obtain the product that is originally on the menu. We are experiencing extreme supply chain disruptions, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to get the items needed to follow the menu. I notify principals of any menu changes as soon as I am aware of them; please check weekly communications from your building for the most up to date information regarding the menu.
I wish I could say it's going to get better soon, but from everything I have been hearing and everything I have been experiencing, it may even get worse before it gets better. A few manufacturers just announced that they are suspending production of entire product lines until January 2022. I appreciate your understanding as I work through these challenges. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at burrowsc@reeths-puffer.org.
Thank you!
