Mill Valley Weekly
Thursday, February 27th, 2020
Hello Mill Valley Families.
With winter weather lingering into March, we wanted to share with parents our winter recess expectations. Our focus is to keep students safe while allowing them to have fun at the same time. It is always recommended that a spare pair of boots, socks and gloves be kept at school in the event that they would get wet from the first recess.
HERE is a slide show of our winter recess expectations. This information has been shared with all of our students and we thought it might be helpful for you to have the information too.
Reminder...there is no school tomorrow for students. Enjoy your three day weekend!

Read Across America Week ~ March 2nd - 6th
Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!
To celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday and Read Across America, we will be having Spirit Days all week inspired by Dr. Seuss books. At MV we are proud and fortunate to have numerous books to read. We’d like to support other children’s learning around our community with books.
During the week, students can bring in gently used or new books to be donated to Robyn’s Nest of Children’s Hospital. Boxes will be at the entrance of the building.
Mark your calendars...our Forward Testing Window is Monday, April 6th ~ Friday, April 24th.
All 3rd and 4th graders will be taking the Forward Test. Below is the schedule for testing days and times.
IMPORTANT: The testing will take place in the morning, so please avoid scheduling any appointments (doctor, dentist, ortho, etc.) during the testing times.
Also, please ensure your student(s) get enough sleep, have a healthy breakfast and arrive at school on time.
We thank you in advance for your partnership in making your student’s test days successful.
From Monday, April 6th through Friday, April 24th , all specials and lunch schedules have been altered to accommodate an uninterrupted morning testing window. Specific lunch and recess times will be communicated closer to the beginning of the testing window.
