Little Elm ISD - March, 2023
Mission Statement
A quality Fine Arts education is essential to a well-rounded education for every child. Students that participate in the Arts are able to explore their passions and develop the creativity that is vital to every student's growth. Fine Arts teachers in Little Elm ISD are committed to the district's vision to Engage, Equip, and Empower each student to realize their full potential.
Let's promote LEISD Fine Arts on Social Media!
A Note from Mr. Felice
There are so many great things happening around LEISD in Fine Arts! Thank you for creating more opportunities for our students. Thank you for preparing them within these opportunities to be successful. It is refreshing to watch teachers who care about their students success and do everything in their power for them to be successful. Today, as we are in the midst of UIL performances, it's so easy to become stressed. Regardless of the outcome, it is the preparation that matters most. Enjoy that process and enjoy seeing what your students are capable of doing. I know I can't wait to see more shows and performances in the coming weeks.
As I stated in my previous email, now is also the time where all Fine Arts teachers need to be going on to Canvas and updating their YAG. Please do so for every course you teach by the end of April. Remember these three things about the YAG:
1). Revise each YAG to have no more than 6-8 units.
2). Make sure that you include which TEKS will be covered in each unit.
3). Be sure to indicate a timeline for each unit.
I appreciate everything you do for our students in LEISD! I hope each of you has a wonderful last quarter of the school year!

Savannah Lira was nominated by Mrs. Rita Cox, the Theatre Director at Little Elm High School. Mrs. Cox had this to say about Savannah:
"I am nominating Savannah Lira. She is our current ITS President. Savannah truly cares about the program through advancing and supporting all the students in Theatre Arts. She is a passionate leader that is willing to ensure success at every level during the year. Her heart is truly for her peers that she serves everyday."
"Kinzie Kelley has been a leader in our theatre department both as a scholar and artist. She was one of our medalists at UIL this year, serves with our Life Skills team, and is a positive spirit in our classes, shows and schools. She is a responsible and kind young woman and has an entrepreneurial spirit...We are certain she will continue to do great things."
Mrs. Hailey Adams is the Choir Director Fine Arts Department Chair at Little Elm High School. Here is a little information about Mrs. Adams:
"This is my 6th year in Little Elm, but my 15th year teaching. Before moving to Little Elm, I taught in Garland ISD and NorthEast ISD. I have also worked for multiple opera programs as a performer as well as the director of education music outreach programs.
Choirs under my direction break down barriers. I am an energetic and engaging conductor who believes that all students can be successful in music. My choirs continuously strive for excellence and receive superior and excellent ratings at UIL Contest. We have performed at the Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks games and continue to do so. I am eager to see where the dedicated singers of LEHS will go."
Mrs. Adams, we are glad to have you as a part of our LEISD Fine Arts team and recognize you as our Teacher of the Month!

In an effort to provide safety and security for all students in LEISD, the district requires that parent volunteers complete an annual background check, due after July 1st of each year. The application used for the check is called AppGarden. The link is provided below. Should a volunteer need to provide fingerprinting, the district will notify the applicant with instructions on how to complete the background process.
THANK YOU for being willing to volunteer of your free time for the students in Little Elm ISD!
