Welcome to Salem Middle School's weekly newsletter. These will be sent out every Friday, recapping the week and publishing dates of important events in coming weeks. We hope you find the information useful! We are ready for a great school year at SMS.

The first week of remote learning went well. Please remember to check that your child's school work is completed and turned in daily. This will be a great help to the classroom teachers in keeping everyone moving along.

Also, every student MUST fill out the attendance form daily. This is the only way the school is keeping track of attendance. If your child doesn't fill it out, the school will not count them present. The link is posted daily on the Salem Middle School website: http://salemschoolssms.ss16.sharpschool.com/, as well as in your child's first hour Google classroom.

Information about school pictures will be sent home with students the week of September 7.

Online Lions students will also be notified of the details next week.

• The Activities and Athletics calendar is updated on the Salem Middle School website with the 20/21 schedules as they currently stand. The calendar can be found on the website under the ACTIVITIES AND ATHLETICS tab at the bottom of the list.
  

All students should have joined my Counselor Classroom this week in their Digital Citizenship classes. If not, please have them do so by entering the classroom code for their grade and then have them fill out the survey that is posted.
