Help wanted - student orientations
Seventh and eighth grade volunteers are needed to help students navigate their schedules and respond to their questions regarding Mountain View.
If your child is available to assist, please click here to complete a brief form.
Thank you as always for your help!
Student Schedules
- In order to view your child's schedule, you must review and acknowledge several important forms (ie: Code of Conduct, Media Release).
- Every effort was made to fill all 7th and 8th grade Related Arts requests; in some cases, requests could not be filled and students were scheduled for alternative selection(s) in the same department.
- Incoming fifth grade students who were accepted into Accelerated Mathematics were notified by email in late June. Students who were not notified will be scheduled for fifth grade Mathematics.
Important updates from the Health Office
Greetings Mountain View families!
I sincerely hope you are enjoying your summer vacations with family, friends and loved ones. I look forward to seeing your children on August 26!
Just a few helpful and friendly reminders for the start of school:
Student Athletes in Grades 6/7/8 participating in FALL sports must have all forms and physicals turned in by the first day of school. Please click here for more information. Dr. Porter will be clearing all sports physicals on Thursday August 29 at 9:00 a.m.
Incoming 6th Graders MUST have documentation regarding required immunizations turned in before the first day of school. If we have spoken/emailed regarding your child, I have kept notes and am aware of summer MD visits. Thank you for communicating with me.
Epipens/Inhalers/Medication Drop Off: I will be in my office until 12:00 on August 16 and will be available again beginning Thursday, August 22 to receive all medications and required forms. Please consider having your PCP fill out the OTC medication form found on my webpage if you wish for me to administer Tylenol, Advil, Benadryl or other OTC medications during the year.
New and/or Changed Health Concerns: I appreciate you reaching out to me at any time to make me aware of any concerns you have regarding your child so that I may best care for them during the school day.
Tardy and Absences: Thank you for your phone calls and emails to let me know when your child will be late or absent, along with reasons for absences. I track illnesses throughout the year in an effort to be proactive regarding the health of our school community.
Wishing you a happy and healthy rest of your summer!
Kind regards, Mrs. Austenberg : )
