Argentine School Scoop

I can't believe it has already been 8 weeks since I came to Argentine ECC! I've enjoyed meeting the children, and love to see their smiling faces every day.

Do you have an associate's degree or CDA? Are you in school right now? Are you looking for something to do during the day while your preschooler is at school? We're looking to fill a couple of positions at Argentine. If you're interested, please stop by the office.

We are hoping that as many Argentine Students as possible can attend the board meeting on February 7. Students should wear LCS spirit wear or red and black. We'll meet in the lobby of Linden Middle School at 5:50pm; the Argentine presentation will be toward the beginning of the meeting and then families are free to leave.

We are trying to plan for days/times as well as staffing for Summer Eagle Club. In order to do so, we are asking all Argentine ECC and Eagle Club parents to complete this survey if they might be interested in the program. This survey is not the registration form and does not guarantee your child a spot for Summer Eagle Club.

Sloan Museum of Discovery has an interactive early childhood gallery that includes a 3-story treehouse, pretend play shops, an ambulance to discover, and lots of other hands-on activities for children. Genesee County residents get in for free!

• Continue strengthening writing muscles at home. Your child can develop these muscles by using tools such as tweezers, chip clips, and playing tug of war with an old tube sock.
• By playing games with dice, your child will develop number sense. Help them to recognize the numbers, count to the number shown on the dice, or have them do that number of something (i.e. if they roll a four, do four jumping jacks).

Here are some fun ways to strengthen fine motor skills at home:

• play with play doh, bread dough, etc.
• Squirt spray bottles or squeeze sponges in the tub
• pour liquid from one cup to another
• put together puzzles
• practice tying, zipping and buttoning

Join Ms. Kathy for a FREE parent-child play group. Sessions are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am-11:00am.

There will be an open house/information night at Argentine on March 11 from 5:00-7:00pm for new students.

LCS will be offering full day kindergarten and young fives for the 2024-2025 school year.

There will be an information night at Hyatt on March 20 from 5:30-6:30pm.

Watch for the online enrollment to open up March 1.
