(Ex: 4 and 2-I yell out “6”!)
Science
Take a walk with your family. Make a list of all the animals you see, no matter how small!
Tuesday, April 21

Math
Addition: I Spy Sums
Use cards 2-9 (you can use the Aces as 1’s if you want to). Turn over all the cards. Take turns picking 2 cards each. If the person says the correct sum, they can keep the cards. (Ex: I spy a 4 and a 2. The sum is 6.)
Science
Look at the list you made yesterday on your walk. Choose one of the animals you saw. Find a book or video about that animal to learn more.
Wednesday, April 22

Math
Addition: Family of 10
Using all the cards (2-9), lay out all the cards in rows, face up. Take turns finding 2 cards that make 10. (Ex: 8 and 2, 6 and 4, 7 and 3). When there are no more, repeat again with a different sum. (Ex: Find all the ways to make 7).
Science
Find an animal living in your house, or living outside (ex: squirrel). Watch it carefully for 5 minutes. Where does it go? What is it doing? Why is it doing that?
Thursday, April 23

*Find 1 new vocabulary word in the book, and write it down. Have someone help you find out what it means.
Writing
Prompt:
Write down 5 facts that you know about stars. Find a book about stars to learn more.
Phonics & Sight Words
Set a timer for 1 minute. Write as many sight words as you can before the time runs out. Do it 1 more time, and see if you can write more words the second time!
Math
More/Less: Top It
Using all the cards (2-9), divide the deck in half. Each player turns over their top card. The player whose card is MORE, gets to keep both cards. If the cards are equal, each player takes back their card. Repeat until 1 person has all the cards.
Science
Choose one of the animal videos your teacher sent to you on Epic to watch (click on the mailbox on Epic). Write down a part of the animal that helps it survive. (Ex: Elephants use their trunk to get food.)
Friday, April 24
Math
10 More/10 Less:
Using all the cards (2-9), turn over 2 cards. For example, I pick a 5 and a 3. My number is 53. I need to write down what is 10 MORE than 53, and what is 10 LESS than 53. So I would write:
10 Less 43
53
63 10 More
Repeat 5 times.
