Message from Principal Eisenbach
Hello CL Families,
After a relatively mild January, by Wisconsin standards, Mother Nature has reminded us that we are not done with winter yet. Please send your child(ren) to school with boots, snow pants, and everything else they need to stay warm and dry. We do go outside for recess if the windchill is above zero degrees. Boots are necessary since we aren’t always lucky enough to have the playground cleared when it snows during the day, making the playground slushy.
February’s character trait is perseverance. This time of the year can feel long with cabin fever sinking in and the sun still setting around 5:00pm. Our character trait lessons aren’t just for school. Every month we send home a “home connection” activity for the whole family to participate in. Please consider participating in this month’s home connection. It might just help you persevere through the rest of winter :)
4K and 5K registration for the 2023/24 school year is now open. If your child is currently enrolled in 4K you do not need to register them for 5K. If you, or someone you know, needs to register for school next year, this link will get you to the enrollment and registration page on our website. From the Health Room:
Having extra clothes at school isn’t just for kindergarteners! Please think about having some extra clothes at school for your student during these snowy months. They play hard at recess and that can lead to some very wet clothes. Even just having a dry pair of socks in their backpack helps. The Health room has some extra clothes for accidents but not enough to go around on wet days.
