A Message from Principal Bivens
Happy February, Panthers!
We are gearing up for a busy month full of music programs, Valentine’s Day parties, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and days off from school. It’s a short, yet jammed packed month. If you haven’t yet signed up for Parent-Teacher Conferences, please do so as soon as possible (link below). If you need assistance, please call the office.
February is also Black History Month! From Frederick Douglass to Maya Angelou, we celebrate those African Americans that have made a difference in our society.
As always, please reach out if you have any questions. I am here to help!
Proudly Serving as YOUR Principal,
-Katie Bivens

A Message from our Librarian
Let’s make a Book Blizzard!
This is an optional reading program in the library this winter for Kindergarten through Sixth grades. Letters on blue paper were sent home the first full week of school in January describing the program. For every 30 minutes a student reads or is read to, they return a reading slip to the library (minutes can also be emailed to me). Once they have turned in 10 slips, they get to select a prize. To complete the program, they must turn in 18 slips or read for 9 hours. Once they have turned in all 18 slips, they will get to select a FREE book and receive a snack bag. All minutes must be turned in by Wednesday, March 1st. If you have any questions, please email me at bushj@usd450.net.
Happy Reading!
