The Crumpton Weekly
October 16, 2023
We hope you had a wonderful and rejuvenating Fall break and a happy first week back. We had so many wonderful events happening this week with one highlight being World Inclusion Day. Many of you supported the event with activities in your own classrooms as well as joining the school on the primary blacktop and "roadrunner lane" for chalk art. Tani and I continued to have students approach us throughout the week discussing the event further which is wonderful, thank you all for your support. A special shoutout to our entire Special Ed team for taking the lead on our school wide chalk event.
ALICE Drill Date Shift
Due to several factors we needed to adjust the ALICE drill date from the 16th of October to the 24rd. We will hold our ALICE drill on Monday the 23rd at 2:00pm. Parents are being notified ahead of time. This ALICE drill wll practice the Lockdown component rather than the offsite. More information to come at our next staff meeting.

Classroom Parent Volunteer and Service Learner Opportunity
We have a couple of parents on site who are interested in volunteering and offering their support in your classroom! They are already cleared on our volunteer forms and are ready to support. If you would be interested in them volunteering in your classroom please reach out to Amanda.
Construction Update
The construction team has been breaking ground this week on the new Admin wing and Kinder classrooms. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility with the rumbling and fencing. We anticipate the rumbling to continue this next week as the breaking ground and leveling continue.
PBIS Assemblies and Photo Release
Our next round of monthly PBIS assemblies is taking place on October 26th. Please bring your student certificate and bumper sticker to present on stage. We had a fantastic turnout of families last month, please continue to invite them monthly. Also, please fill out this form ahead of time so we can determine if the student has a photo release to post their image online. This can be found in Synergy.
Picture Retake Day
Picture retakes will take place on October 26th. Each grade level will be given a window of time for makeups. Please send your students to the designated location at that time if they are getting a picture retaken or were absent for the first round of pictures. These photos are the ones that go in our Yearbook at the end of the year, so we want to ensure all students have photos taken even if they are not purchasing them. A schedule will be coming out soon from Ms. Cecchi.
Youth Truth Classroom Sign Up
Please sign up for a date that you anticipate leading YouthTruth in your classroom.
World Inclusion Day
Thank you all for participating in the World Inclusion Day events. There were so many wonderful activities going on.The chalk art was absolutely a highlight around campus as well. Take a look at some of the amazing work below.
Pumpkins Available
Ms. Gonzales has worked with the Marina Walmart to get a donation of Pumpkins. They are currently on the stage, but there is enough for each class to have one. If your class is interested in decorating a pumpkin then we will place them out in the cafeteria for students and families to vote on their favorite. All decorated pumpkins should be returned to the cafeteria for voting by October 20th. The winning class will get a special treat!
Daily Teaching Schedule
Please remember to update your daily schedule here on this document that highlights the specific times you are teaching the key items listed at the bottom of the page. This will support our work this year with the Lit 6 as well as our work with the ILT. I know after Articulation days some of your schedules adjusted so please don't forgetto update them.
