Welcome Back Mrs. Kruzel!
Vaccinations
Once your child has received both doses of the vaccine, you can submit a copy of their completed vaccination card to the district. Students that have received two doses of a covid vaccine will not have to undergo weekly COVID testing and, as long as they have no symptoms, can avoid quarantining if they are exposed to someone with a confirmed case.
To submit your card, please fill out this form and include a picture. You will need a Google account to use this form. If you do not have a Google account, please submit proof of vaccination directly to your school’s office in person.
As always, feel free to contact your school or the district office with any questions.

Assessments
We will be completing a variety of assessments over the next couple of months:
Winter Benchmark Testing
We are in the process of completing winter benchmark testing with all of our students. Students in grades 2-5 completed the winter MAP this past week. Students in 1st grade will complete the winter Aimsweb benchmark when we return from break.ACCESS Testing
Students that are identified as English Learners will be taking the ACCESS test in January and February. Only specific students complete this assessment, which measures English language proficiency in the areas of listening, reading, writing and speaking.
Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT)
Students in grades 3 and 5 will be completing the CogAT in February. The Cognitive Abilities Test is intended to estimate students' learned reasoning and problem solving abilities through a battery of verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal test items.
Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR)
Students in grades 3-5 will take the IAR in March/April. IAR is the state accountability measure for Illinois students enrolled in a public school district and assesses the Illinois Learning Standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
Illinois Science Assessment (ISA)
Students in grade 5 will be completing the ISA at the same time they complete the IAR. ISA is the state accountability measure for Illinois students enrolled in a public school district that assesses Illinois Learning Standards in Science.
