Lowell Memo: Issue #4
October 4, 2013
From Mrs. Melton...
Greetings from Lowell!
We have an active, exciting week ahead at Lowell! From Walk to School Day on Wednesday to the Runathon on Friday, we're excited to come together as a school community to be active and to support our school. I look forward to seeing many of you and thank you for your support! To further increase our opportunity for strong home-school communication, we'll also be launching our Lowell Facebook page this week! You can access this page by clicking on the Facebook icon at the bottom of the Lowell website or here.
Please note that we are also adjusting our car rider procedure, and all students who arrive by car will enter through Door #16 regardless of grade. This will allow for a smooth process as winter approaches. With that, we continue to encourage parents to pull all the way forward within the pick-up/drop-off lane rather than stopping at the playground area. This will also allow us to be good neighbors to the homes on Willow and efficiently and safely get your children in and out of school. I am grateful for your attention to safety and your willingness to work together!
Have a wonderful week!

Lowell's Run-A-Thon Relay Fundraiser Update
Run-A-Thon wristband raffle day was a success ! Thanks for all your enthusiasm! Student winners, enjoy your Subway gift cards! We are 1 week away from this awesome even. Continue asking family and friends for pledges. We can make this a HUGE success if we work together!
What if…
- 300 students raise $40-$50?
- 200 students raise $50-$75?
- 100 students raise $100- $150?
WE CAN DO IT !!!!! Thank you for supporting technology in our school and reducing our number of fundraisers through your generous support of this event. Contact Julie Zinkus with the Lowell PTA to volunteer or with questions.
