New Zones
As Springdale continues to grow, we are excited to expand our school family with the addition of the new Jim D. Rollins Elementary School of Innovation. The Springdale School District prides itself on providing the highest quality, personalized education to all our students, no matter where they attend school. The Springdale School District is adjusting attendance zones for the 2021-2022 school year in preparation for the opening of the new elementary school in the fall. These new zones will mean new exciting changes for some of our families. Please see the link for the new zones. If you are zoned to attend Rollins Elementary School of Innovation, a letter was sent home with your child on March 17.
Notes from the Counselor- Test Taking Tips
Tips from the Counselor- Test Taking Strategies
We are quickly approaching the end of the school year which means your child will be taking part in standardized testing. Some children struggle with testing and test anxiety, below are some tips and tricks that will help your child be successful.
For Students: Get a good night’s sleep, have a nutritious breakfast, relax and take slow, deep breaths during testing, follow directions and read each question carefully, move on if you don’t know an answer and come back to it later.
For Parents: Make sure your child gets a good night’s rest, make sure your child eats breakfast, make sure your child gets to school on time, send your child to school with words of praise and support, practice deep breathing with your child, send a letter of encouragement with your child that they can read before the test.
