My, how you've aged! The 100th day of school in kindergarten is always a huge celebration! Even Zippy Zero the Superhero stopped by!

Thursday was a fantastic day to celebrate reading and writing! Author Erin Soderberg Downing visited to share her new book, "Just Keep Walking," with elementary and middle school students -- we even dressed like hikers to celebrate!

Excelling in the classroom and in athletics! A big congrats to the Dodge-Point Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams who earned Academic All-State Honors from the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association.

Who remembers making envelopes for school Valentine card deliveries?! We are ready for the big day this week!

Let's give a big congrats to our Mock Trial teams for their 9th and 10th place finishes at Regionals, held at the Dane County Courthouse last weekend. Great job, all!

1st graders enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year, which started Saturday -- 2024 is the year of the dragon!

Congrats to Abby Backes, Josie Dunn, and Morgan Palzkill who participated in UW-Platteville's Tri-State Honors Band Saturday!

High School Graphic Design students developed an Artificial Intelligence prompt and were challenged to re-create it using paint or digital arts as their selected mediums! These are always very time intensive and fun to see the problem solving results.

Basketball fans were treated to a fantastic performance of the National Anthem by our high school choir prior to the home boys game vs. Cuba City Thursday night!

Thank you to everyone who supported Arts Mineral Point's Ice Lantern Festival with proceeds benefitting our MPHS Art Department! A special shout out to our students who were able to volunteer at the event: Olivia Wilson, Anthony Luu, Anthony Buleje Cadena, Payton Christopher, Bree Swenson, Ella Wilson, and Evelyn Backes.

UPDATE: The WIAA had some errors in their bracket reveal show Sunday morning. The updated online brackets are now showing we will face the winner of #6 Darlington/#11 Boscobel.

Kudos to the #PointerNation Girls Basketball Team for earning the #3 seed and a first round bye in our WIAA Division 4 Postseason bracket! Mineral Point will host the winner of #6 Darlington/#11 Parkview Friday, February 23 in the Regional Semifinal.

Wisconsin's Open Enrollment period begins February 5 for the 2024-25 school year and runs through April 30.

-- In 2013-14, 38 non-resident students chose Mineral Point Schools.

-- In 2023-24, that number has risen to 95 non-resident students choosing MP.

The next Mineral Point Early Childhood Development Screening will take place Wednesday, March 6! This screening is open to children who were born between the dates of 9/1/20 and 11/30/21. We'd love to have you join our sub pool! There will be a Substitute Teacher Training held at CESA 3 in Fennimore at 9 am on March 13. This training is one of the requirements for a sub license in Wisconsin (including the minimum of an associate's degree). Participants can register here:
