District Annual Performance Reports
Congratulations to the Blair Oaks School District for being ranked #15 out of 553 schools in the State of Missouri for the 2021-2022 school year.
The district received an annual performance score of 93.1% (commonly referred to as APR). This percentage is based off possible points earned, both from academic performance and continuous improvement standards. Our percentage designates us 15th out of 553 schools across the state! A huge thank you to the students, teachers, parents, and community for all of their hard work and dedication to our school district.

- MAP Testing is on the horizon! Mark your calendars for the dates below and let us know ASAP if you anticipate a student absence for any of the test days.
- 5th: May 1st & 2nd (Science)
- 3rd, 4th & 5th: May 8th - May 11th (ELA & Math)
Reminders!
- Snacks: Please make sure to send a snack with your student. We've had several students forgetting them lately and depleting our supply from the nurses office, which are meant for students with medical needs.
- Phones/Smart Watches: Our policy is that students are not to use phones and/or smart watches while at school. While we prefer these devices be left at home, if brought with students, they need to remain in backpacks for the duration of the day. We appreciate your support ensuring devices are not used at school.
- Computer Mice: Check with your students about their computer mice! Several students do not have one and teachers no longer have a backup supply because they are being used. The library does have some available for checkout, but be mindful, they can accrue late fees or replacements costs
Counseling Classes This Month
We have discussed a variety of important topics in Counseling this month! We talked about the importance of showing integrity / doing the right thing even when no one is watching, being a bucket filler rather than a bucket dipper, coping with our feelings in healthy / positive ways, maintaining good personal hygiene, demonstrating good sportsmanship, and listening / following directions. Throughout this month, we also had the opportunity to review and practice the following mindfulness techniques in Counseling: Rainbow Breathing, Mindful Music, Figure Eight Breathing, Relaxed Breathing, and 4-Count Breathing. You can expand on what we have discussed in Counseling at home by having a conversation with your child about any of the topics we have covered and asking them to demonstrate and/or share with you how to do some of the mindfulness techniques we did together in class!
Student of the Month!
This month's BIS student of the month is 5th grader, Ainsley Weider! Ainsley was chosen for displaying the character trait of accountability day in and day out. Thanks for being someone we can count on! Congratulations, Ainsley!
