WE GAVE A BRAND NEW BIKE TO A STUDENT IN EACH GRADE LEVEL AFTER A RANDOM DRAWING OF ALL STUDENTS WHO HAD PERFECT ATTENDANCE THE PAST 9 WEEKS! CONGRATULATIONS !

Out of over 1,000 submissions, our very own Terrany Moncrief is one of the top ten finalists for the Flocab Black History Rap Contest! She is in the running to win a trip to New York City!

If your student is 5 years old on or before August 1, 2019 you re welcome to come sign them up for the 2019/2020 kindergarten school year. Our doors will be open from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Please bring proof of residency (mortgage or lease)an original birth certificate, immunization records and a current power bill from IPL or Citizen's Gas.

Book fair will begin April 8th for students to begin previewing all the fantastic books we will have for sale. Students can purchase items April 10-12th! The book fair will also be open during Goodies with Grandparents from 7:45-8:15am on April 10th and 11th. We will have MANY great titles at Great prices as low as $2! We accept cash, check(made out to Grassy Creek Elementary) and credit cards. All proceeds made from the book fair help us keep our library materials fun and new and our technology up to date. Our final skating party of the year is coming up April 4, 2019! Mark your calendar for Roller Cave FUN!

Cookies and Canvas is 4/12/19, our Kindergarten Music Program is from 6 to 7 pm 4/25/19, and Muffins with Mom is 5/09/19.

The next PTA meeting will be 4/04/19 at 5:00 pm at Grassy Creek.

Our wonderful Student Council sponsored a GREEN OUT DAY! Students donated $1. for the opportunity to wear green/camouflage to school. That money $$ will go to purchase items for care packages for our armed forces. Thank you for showing your support for our military!

Parents please come by the school office to pick up the paper work for a background check if you are interested in going on a school field trip or helping in a classroom during school hours. This is required and it does take some time for us to process. We will also need a copy of your drivers license. Once approved your background check is good for two years.

The curriculum in the EXCEL program is differentiated and faster paced. Students will work above grade level.
