    Meet Mrs. Kratzke

    My name is HiIary Kratzke and I am the kindergarten teacher at Minnewaukan! I have been a teacher for about 4 years and taught first grade for the last couple of years. I have a wonderful husband and a little boy named, William, who was born in June. He is very smiley and loves to talk and laugh. I really enjoy talking and reading to the kids in my classroom. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask!

    Meet Mrs. Jordaan

    I am Rachel Jordaan, the Speech-Language Pathologist for Minnewaukan School. This fall was the start of my 7th year here. As an SLP, I help students with a wide range of skills including, language skills, speech sounds, stuttering, voice, and I also conduct hearing screenings as needed.


    I am married to my husband Johan and we have two children, Elouise, age 5 and Henry, age 2. In my spare time I enjoy photography and crafting.


    Counselor's Corner

    February went faster than it should have but we got some exciting work done! Classroom lessons focused on growth mindset and perspective taking. We learned about The Power of Yet, famous failures, and looking at situations in different ways. Perspective taking is always fun, trying to figure out how someone is seeing something when we are looking at the same picture. Ask your 3-6th grader about optical illusions and your k -2 about the perspective train! Pre-K worked with the worried emotion which will be reviewed next month too! In March we will look at personal safety and continue working on coping skills.

    Language Class Winners

    These students scores 100% on their Dakota Language test from their teacher, Marva Tollefson. They took home a cash prize for their accomplishment!

    Student of the Month

    Each grade level will be eligible to receive student of the month.

    They will be recognized on the school website and FB page as well as receive a small reward for their accomplishment.


    Student engagement staff will look for when nominating a student of the month:


    • Good Attendance!
    • Completion of Work!
    • Collaborates well with peers and staff!
    • Follows school expectations!
