FEBRUARY STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
Nate L.
Nate is great student who has a great handle on the material in class. He gives great presentations and speeches and does impeccable work on all of his assignments. He asks insightful questions and genuinely seems to understand the material. He’s an all-around good dude.
Gaven C.
Gaven always has a great attitude at school, and will always greet you with a smile. He respects individual differences and is often found talking to anyone about how their day is going. When you're around Gaven you cannot help but smile; he helps to promote a positive school climate through his actions and words.
Sargent County Spelling Bee
On February 13th, three 5th grade students competed in the Sargent County Spelling Bee. It was the first year they were eligible and they did a great job representing Sargent Central. Jackson R. earned a chance for third place in an oral spell-off. He is pictured with his 3rd place medal.

Music Happenings
Sargent Central participated in the Wahpeton Middle School Music Festival on Friday, February 24. SC's 5-8 choir and 5-6 band performed for judges and other schools.

A small group of SC Choir students delivered valengrams to residents in the area.
Career Industry Interviews
SMARTLab
A couple groups of kids have been working on projects in the SMARTLab. Project topics include: movie trailers, 3-D models and printing, electricity, and programming robots.
Penny Boats
9th-grade students recently completed the Penny Boat challenge. They were given the task of creating a boat to hold as many pennies as possible.
Spanish II
Students in Spanish II are working on an art project based on the work of Picasso.
