Local News Update

November 16th, 6pm-7pm

There will be a 3rd grade performance at 6pm in the cafeteria. After that, families are invited to their students' classrooms to learn about their students' SUPER POWER. See your students' SUPER work and learn what they have been learning about in their classrooms. Marble Slab will also be selling SUPER ice cream at the showcase.

Students will be able to shop from a variety of holiday gift items ranging in price from 25₵ to $12. You will find an information letter and money envelope in your child’s blue folder on November 30th. You can use this envelope to help your child plan and budget for holiday gifts for loved ones. Volunteers will be available in the Penguin Patch to help students shop and wrap gifts.

Students will be asked to leave all backpacks and coats outside the Penguin Patch while shopping.

We are in need of many parent volunteers for the PTO Holiday Shop, December 4-8. Volunteers are needed for the following times:

Monday - Thursday

• 7:30 - 8:30 am
• 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
• 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Friday

• 7:30 - 10:30 am

In celebration of America Education Week November 13-17th, Pontiac PTO will be providing lunch to teachers and staff on Friday, November 17th. Our generous Pontiac Parrot families have traditionally provided desserts for this luncheon and we are once again asking for donations. Representatives from Pontiac PTO will be collecting donations of desserts such as cookies, cakes, and pies in the morning carline on November 17th. You can also leave any donations at the front desk that morning.
