The Cardinal Letter

I am so excited to get this school year started. Our entire staff is looking forward to working with our students to make their learning experience at Chi-Hi successful and rewarding.

Operationally, things will be back to normal. Please take a moment to read over the expectations and updated policies for clarity to set your son or daughter up for a great start.

We encourage all parents of freshmen to join us on Thursday, September 1st from 3:30-3:55 in the HS gym for a short informational meeting. The freshmen will be joining us during this time as well. This meeting is optional, as many parents work during the school day hours.

Our administrative team wants to build a partnership with parents to help make the transition to high school as smooth as possible. We hope to see you there!

For security purposes, the passwords of all CFAUSD students will be changed at the beginning of the 2022/2023 school year. The change is not going to be difficult...they are simply replacing the first character...last year this character was a one "1", and this year, it will be a two "2".

The change for grades 9-12 will be effective at approximately 9:00pm on Wednesday, August 31.

A reminder that all breakfasts and lunches MUST be paid in full this school year UNLESS you qualify for free or reduced meals. We strongly encourage families to complete the Free Meal Application Form as you may be eligible for this worthwhile benefit!

Student pictures will be taken on Friday, September 9 from 8:30am to 3:50pm. Announcements will be made throughout the school day for students to report to Gym B (back gym) to have their pictures taken. ALL students must have a photograph taken, including seniors, as the pictures are needed for their ID cards.

Seniors and Parents;

Senior pictures are due October 1st for entry into the yearbook! Please get these emailed to sikkinsr@chipfalls.org. If you had a photographer, they can also email these directly to the above address! Please note that the below specifications are for your yearbook photo only!

Pictures should meet these specifications:

• Must be a head and shoulders photo
• No Hats
• No Props (includes sunglasses, football, bats, etc…)

Picture Size/Resolution:

• 675 x 900 pixels (2.25” x 3.00”)
• Resolution should be 300 DPI
