Good Morning OES Community,
In honor of reaching YAHOO on the Owl's Nest, we had a pajama day on Friday. This brought lots of laughter, conversation, and smiles throughout the school.
Students have now filled the Owl's Nest. In celebration, the entire school will be going to the River of Life Corn Maze on Thursday. The bus is scheduled to leave at 8:10, and should return before 11:00. (We will have bag lunches prepared in case we are running a little late.) This is an early dismissal day - student pick up is 11:15. Each pom-pom used to fill the nest represents the kind, caring, and respectful acts that occur in our school.
The 7th & 8th graders will be attending a Career Connections & STEM Fair at Lyndon State College on Wednesday. The bus will leave at 8:10 and return at 2:00. Each student chose a workshop to attend from a variety of career fields. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities and gather information from Vermont businesses and organizations.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at student-led conferences Thursday evening and all day Friday. Our students are gathering information, setting goals, and reflecting on their learning. Students are excited to share this information with you.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the library during conferences. This is sponsored by the PTCA.
