Staffing FY24
Admin is currently work on staffing for next school year. Since there are grade levels with teachers leaving; the movement truly depends on who actually leaves. Grade levels can not be finalized until those who plan to leave secure a position. Admin will inform teachers with the preliminary assignments as soon as possible. Admin will host meetings with those who are interested in the Team leader position so that those positions are appointed sooner rather than later. (with the exception of EFR & ESR which is voted in by staff).

Black History Month Video! Historic Takoma: They Called Him “Mr. Lee”
This video looks at the life and legend of Lee A. Jordan— the school custodian who became a community leader and coach and mentor to many of Takoma Park’s youth, both Black and White, during an era of social change and upheaval. While working at Takoma Park Junior High and Montgomery Blair High School, Jordan used organized sports to inspire and motivate local young people. A local baseball star, Jordan founded the city’s Boys and Girls clubs, breaking racial barriers by organizing the first integrated recreational sports teams in Montgomery County. Called the “unofficial mayor" of Takoma Park, he represented the city's African American community before the city council and its official mayor, campaigning for services that would improve the streets, neighborhoods, and lives of the town's Black residents.

Please Share Parent Survey on Class Dojo
Although this is in the Mustang Weekly and we will share on Dojo, it will help get more participants if teachers share this on Class Dojo as well. Just copy/paste from below:
It is important for the administration to get feedback from families of Meadow Hall ES regarding the school year. We ask that one family member complete the survey for your family. We will use the feedback given to continue to address the needs of students and families at MHES. We thank you all in advance for your support and feedback! The surveys will close on February 28, 2023.
