PTA Nominating Committee for the Nancy Young Elementary
It is that time of year when NYE PTA is reflecting on the past, present and future. The current executive team is looking for YOU to join their team! The Nominating Committee for the Nancy Young Elementary PTA is looking for interested candidates to serve on the Executive Committee for the 2024-2025 school year. The positions in this Executive Committee consist of President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and corresponding secretary. We are also looking for committee leads for several events such as classroom parties, Son’s night, Fun Fair and Daughter Dance.
If you are interested in being considered for one of these positions, would like to nominate someone, or have any questions, please contact Sajani Parikh at Sajs11@gmail.com by March 1st.
Brief description of Executive Board Positions:
President
- Attend all meetings of this association, the executive board and the executive committee.
- Sign all legal documents, including contracts (when co-presidents, only one shall sign legal documents)
- Appoint members to special committees
- Be responsible for other duties as may be assigned by the association, the executive board or the executive committee.
- Delegate the work of the association to other officers or chairmen as may be appropriate.
- Coordinate the work of the officers and committees in order that the purposes may be promoted.
1st Vice President
- Act as an aid to the president and shall perform the duties of the president in the absence of inability of that officer to serve.
- Oversee the committees as specified in the Nancy Young Elementary PTA standing rules.
2nd Vice President
- Act as an aid to the president and shall perform the duties of the president in the absence or inability of the president and the first vice president to serve.
- Oversee the committees as specified in the Nancy Young Elementary PTA standing rules.
Treasurer
- Receive all monies of this association and keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures.
- Place all monies in a depository approved by the executive board.
- Present a written financial statement at every meeting of the association and at other times as requested by the executive board making a full report at the general membership meeting in May.
Secretary
- The secretary shall record the minutes of all meetings of this association, the
executive board, and the executive committee.
- Have a current copy of the bylaws.
- Have a current membership list.
- Conduct correspondence of the association as directed.
Corresponding Secretary
- Manage social media accounts.
- Update outdoor display.
- Take on role of Secretary if absent

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL HOURS
Regular Hours:
Arrival: Doors open at 8:50. Bell rings at 9:05. Students should be in class and ready to learn at 9:05.
Dismissal: 3:35 Every Day
WEDNESDAY Hours
Arrival on Wednesdays ONLY-Doors open at 9:00 and bell rings at 9:15.
Dismissal: 3:35
Early Dismissal
If you need to take your child out early, please email the teacher and contact the main office at (630) 375 - 3800 Note: Per district Policy - parents/guardians will not be allowed within the school building from 8:50 - 9:15 and from 3:15 - until after dismissal.
