Happy Summer!
Thank you for a wonderful year! We made it! We have enjoyed our year of learning together to improve ourselves. We had an amazing night on Tuesday, May 16th, celebrating our 5th grade students. We wish them well at the Middle School next year. We are proud of our students, teachers and the entire school support staff of working together to make this school so outstanding! I hope your summer plans will be full of making amazing memories of your own.
For third through fifth grade parents, please know that that Smarter Balance test scores will be sent home with your child's report card at the end of May. All report cards will be sent home at the end of May.
As a reminder, the Breakfast and Lunch program is free all summer in four of our district buildings. Unfortunately, LBW is not a host site this summer. Please take advantage of eating breakfast and/or lunch at Longfellow, GBR, MS or HS the entire summer. Again, it is free for all kids!
The class lists for Fall 2023 will be posted on Monday, August 7th. As a reminder, our LBW Open House will be held on Wednesday, August 9th from 5 to 6pm. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 16th. Have a wonderful summer! See you in the Fall!

News from the library! Wow! Where did the school year go! The end of the year brought on the “Lego” of your books challenge. All of the students that returned their books got to sign up for a special treat bag to take them into the summer. The students also got to guess how many books were checked out the entire year of school. Shhh……..the number was 21,039 as of May 15th.
Parents, be watching the Summer Read S’more chart! If the students read this summer they will have a chance to join Mrs. Bartscher for a S’more party next fall. Have a great summer!
